Were proud to announce that since we started the Future Trees Forest Restoration Project in July, we’ve planted over 400 Milkwoods, Pock Ironwoods and Wild Peach trees in parts of the ancient Milkwood forest that were damaged by the fire 2 years ago.
It really is a great project this and I think that it’s fantastic for contributors to be able to “get their hands dirty” and really get a feel for the project by planting their own trees. People also get their trees GPS co-ordinates taken, so that in a few years time they can pop onto Google Earth and see how their tree is doing!
Our hope is that the project will continue to prosper, and we have plans to place a large number of trees at the Spaces for Sport project in Gansbaai, where Green Futures has already planted over 500 trees.
Thank you to all the people who have reduced their carbon footprints through this fantastic project.
