Going into the Premier skills training, I was not sure what to expect and was rather nervous. We started on Sunday with a bang and set to work learning new drills and games.
The Premier skills coaches professionalism and expertise was impressive. It was a challenge having to work with people you have just met, but the respect we have for the respective work we do enabled us to connect. I learnt so much and am eager to apply what I have learnt from the Premier Skills training sessions, apply it to the netball teams I coach and in particular pass on the learnings to some of the older girls in my netball team.
Currently female participation in sport in our community is low and I am motivated to help turn this around.
On a personal level, I was given positive feedback and I hope to be considered for the next phase of training to become a coach educator. The next phase would assist me to work on my confidence and I know my community will benefit from my training.
